Nippondex is the discovery-app counterpart to Japan Atlas. Same editorial team, same data layer, different surface — a command-palette + faceted-browse + interactive-map experience aimed at on-the-ground travel planning rather than long-form reading.

What you can do here

• Search across everything with ⌘K / Ctrl+K — places, guides, cities, and fourteen interest verticals — with keyboard navigation, recent searches, and a mobile-first FAB.
• Browse the atlas — an interactive heat-shaded map of all 47 prefectures of Japan; click any prefecture to filter the place index.
• Filter by category, city, or interest — multi- select facets with build-time count badges and a mobile filter sheet.
• Read place pages with hero photography, address, category, related places (same city, shared interest tags), and source links.
